Top Household Dangers to our Dogs and Cats

There are a lot of dangers for dogs and cats that are inside and outside of our house. It is worthwhile to take a quick look at some of the common things that are dangerous for pets. Some of these might be new to you as I found out. For example, I like eating chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Two dangerous dog items in one delicious treat! The first one chocolate, of course, I knew about. The second one, macadamia nuts, I did not know about. Therefore I decided to do a little research and post some of the top most common household dangers. This is by no means is a complete list of household dangers to our pets.

  • Rat and Mouse Poisons
  • Common Antifreeze
  • Phenol and Phenol Derivatives, such as Pine-Sol and Lysol

Dangerous Plants The problem I found, not being a green thumb, I don’t always know the names of the plants around the house. I have Yew in my garden (2.5 years) and 2 cats. Do you think I should rid off my plant? Is it dangerous the whole year or only during harvest season?
