Get Your Lost Pet Listing Noticed!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Todd at 3:44 pm on Monday, August 7, 2006

We thought we would bring your attention to a great way you can get more exposure to your lost pet listing on FindThatPet.com. Everytime someone posts an ad for a lost or found pet, we create a webpage just for that pet. You can then use this webpage to tell others about it. For example, this webpage will always return to the lost cat Max.

Once you have created your lost or found pet listing, you can copy the webpage address and paste that anywhere on the internet and it will bring visitors to your pet’s webpage.

Here are some ways you can use this to get people to come to your pet’s listing.

  • Send an email to friends, family and neighbors that might have seen your lost pet. Paste the webpage address into the email. Make sure you are not spamming people, but encourge them to forward it to anyone that might be likely to see your lost pet.
  • Find internet dog groups that are in your area and ask if you can post the webpage. Yahoo has dog groups that may be of interest.
  • Search Google for “dog forum” or “pet forum” and see if you can post the link in a lost and found section.
  • If your pet is of a particular breed, see if there is a local area club that would be willing to let you post the link or email it to their members.

We do everything we can to bring visitors to our site to look at your listings. We just wanted to let you know that you now have a way to spread the word about your own webpage. Once they come to your pet’s webpage, they can contact you through our website. So get the link in front of as many people as you can that are likely to run across your lost or found pet. Remember, this is a bit of a numbers game, the more people that see your listing, the better the chance of someone finding him.
